When was Jesus born?
How come that the body of Christ all these years has been celebrating the wrong birthday of our Lord Jesus Christ? Yet when the scriptures specifically reveals to us the specific month in which Mary conceived. Could it be because we have neglected the commandments of the old testament thinking that Jesus came to abolish the Law (old testament).
Listen my friend, in Matthew 5:17-18 it says; do not think that I came to destroy the law or the prophets, I didn't come to destroy but to fulfill. Now I want you to notice the fulfillment of the old testament in the new testament as apostle Luke scripturally gives us the specific month in which Mary conceived baby Jesus in her womb.
Luke 1:26 says; and in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a virgin espoused to a man by the name of Joseph, in the lineage of David. And the virgins name was Mary.
Now; if you don't keep God's commandments in the old testament, you will totally miss the point, notice that when he said the sixth month, He wasn't meaning the sixth month according to the secular calendar or the calendar that the world lives by, but he was referring to the sixth month of the Jewish calendar or I rather call it God's calendar.
In the sixth month Mary conceived the savior of the world in her womb, according to the Jewish calendar this will be the month of Elul (the zodiac sign of this month is called Virgo or virgin) this is a month that falls between the month of August and September. Now from that month count nine months, the period of time that it takes for a woman to carry a baby in her womb before she gives birth. After nine months from the month of Elul it will bring us to the month of Sivan according to the Jewish calendar, this is the month that falls between the month of May– June.
Now; this also explains the incident of shepherds being outside at night, because it was in the season of summer time, In the book of Songs of Solomon 2:11 and Ezra 10:9 says that the winter seasons are always cold and rainy and no shepherd will be out in that kind of weather looking after sheep.
Let me bring up another evidence to prove to you that Jesus was born in the summer (around May-June) and not in December (winter).
In the same month of Sivan, Israel celebrates the wheat harvest, where they give their first fruit offering to God, according to Exodus 23:16, Exodus 34:22, what we would call the day of Pentecost; and in this same month of Sivan Jesus (Yeshua) was given to the body of Christ as the identical first fruits that would later become a sweet smelling aroma in the nostrils of God 1 Corinthians 15:23 says… Christ the first fruits afterward those who are Christ's at his coming.
The reason why Apostle Paul refers to Jesus Yeshua our Lord as the first fruit is because Jesus was born in the season when Israel gave their firstfruit offering. In this same season of Pentecost God gave us the Holy Spirit, and we became a church that speaks in tongues (Acts 2:1-4). In this same season God gave the Jews (being the physical Israel ) His commandments WRITTEN ON THE TABLET OF STONES on Mount Sinai.
In Leviticus 23:15-16 Israel was commanded to bring two loaves of Challa bread (one loaf representing the old testament, and the second loaf representing the new testament), which were the first fruits offered as a wave offering on the 50th day of Pentecost.
We received the Holy spirit on Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4 & Romans 8:23), but Israel receives the two Tablets of the physical written word of God on this same day of Pentecost.
Holy Spirit + God's word which is the 2 tablets of the Ten Commandments = the word become flesh (John 1:14).
In this same season of (Pentecost, Shavuot), God formed a wife for Adam from his own first fruit that he offered to God in a form of a white rib as in (Genesis 2:22), and on that same day God also joined Adam and Eve in marriage, and they become one flesh
Acts 2:5-47 says; that the Jews who are the (physical Israel or old testament) had come to celebrate Shavuot or Pentecost, being the day when God gave the Jews the old testament, but at their surprise they found there a bunch of apostles celebrating the day when they received the Holy spirit, when the apostles preached to them they were convicted and they decided to Join in and become one flesh with God's purpose in that season. simply meaning that; the full revelation of the birth of Yeshua, Jesus our Lord became one flesh with the commandments that they kept in the old testament in this season of Pentecost.
