Judaism
Judaism (Jewish nation) was the very first religion that God ever gave to man, and through Judaism other religions were birthed forth, religions like: Christianity, Islam etc..
In the beginning before the practiced rituals of Judaism were written down, Adam passed down some of these religious rituals to his children through oral teaching
(oral teachings were spoken prophetic stories or rituals that were practiced and taught or passed down from the fore fathers into the lives of their children through teaching and speaking).
After the flood of Noah, Noah was inspired by God to pass this gift of God's religion into the life of his son who was called Shem.
In Genesis 9:26 Noah prophetically blesses Shem through his prophecies as he said;
Blessed be the Lord God of Shem,..and from that time onwards God began to transform and prepare Shem for the gift that will become the religion
through which God will transmit His own desires, instructions, will, character and kingdom into the entire human race. Shem was the grand father of Terah, and Terah was the father |

The word Torah means life, God's commandments, teacher, lesson or God's instructions.
Genesis 2:9 says, the tree of life (Torah) which became Judaism, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil, which represented the nations, were in the middle of the garden in Eden.
Revelation 22:14 says; blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates of the city.
John 1:1-4 says Jesus the Messiah, the tree of life descended from the tribe of Judah (Judaism) and He also became the lion of the tribe of Judah, as in Hebrews 7:14 and Rev 5:5. |
of Abram, and Abram was the man that inherited God's religion or ways of doing things

The scroll being the five books of Moses (Genesis, Exodus, Numbers, Leviticus and Deuteronomy), the tallit (prayer shawl), the two sabbath candles, the shofar, the star of David, and the menorah, all these spiritual symbols spring from Judaism (Jewish nation). |
In Genesis 12:1-3 God commands Abram to come out of the negative influence of the false religions and idol worship that were invented by Nimrod (Babylon system),
even though Abraham never had the opportunity of writing down the laws of God's religion,
but it was him who paved the way and also laid a physical foundation so that God's religion may be accepted by the other nations that did not know God in the world.
In Genesis 22:18 God promises Abraham this gift of his religion that will transmit His blessing, not only into the lives of Shem's |
descendants but also into the nations or people that lived contrary to God's religion (Judaism).
During the time when Moses was called as a leader to lead God's people, the laws of God's religion were transformed into the written law of God called the Torah in Hebrew.
Moses wrote down the Torah or the five books of Moses (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy) and through these same books, God's ways on how to eat, speak, act, live and also inherit the life to come were written down in the Old Testament called Tanahk in Hebrew.
The Hebrew word Tanakh is built up from 3 different words:
1. The 5 books of Moses or the Torah, the word Torah means teaching, life or God's instructions
2. The books written by the prophets in the old testament Nevi'im, the word Nevi'im means Prophets, book of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Nehemiah etc..
3. The writings or Ketuvim in Hebrew, which you find in the old testament being the book of Psalms, proverbs etc..
T for Torah, N for Nevi'im and K for Ketuvim = T a N a K h .
The New Testament was written down by Jewish apostles that Jesus had chosen as the 12 apostles.
By Apostle A Ngabo
