Is it good to lust for sex?
ANSWER:
The holy scripture declares that sex was created by God so that the husband and the wife in a godly marriage,
may be able to extend their image (spiritual and physical inheritance or moral behaviour) from themselves into God's creation through sexual intercourse,
but today sex has become an experience through which people express their own evil motives, and desire, ands also fulfil their own evil pleasures.
The world system encourages people to have sex according to the immoral standards that man has made up on his own;
(homosexuality, boy friend and girl friend, sex magazines, pornography movies, films with relationships of people that are committing adultery and fornication etc),
and because of this; most of the people have a wrong misconception or mindset concerning the topic of sex, which has resulted or developed into something that is called lust. |
Lust is a strong craving desire that drives someone's character into pursuing after his own desires or will, via the ideas, inspiration, plans and advice that are ungodly in nature. |
Lusting for sex ;
The word lust means; the state or intense desire which is concealed in within someone's natural habits, which has the ability to draw, to attract and to lead someone towards the natural presence that will be able to satisfy the pleasure of his sexual desires,
but also this same word lust means; the natural instinct of overwhelming desires and cravings of sexual pleasure, in within someone's life, which has the ability to attract, and bring together the people with the same instincts (of sexual desires), who are in pursuit for sexual pleasure.
Now; according to the immoral standards that the world system has laid up for its citizens, the natural instinct of sexual desires becomes the magnetic fields that draws or attracts the different groups of people who are in pursuit for the same sexual pleasure,
a person who goes around breaking up other people's marriages, will always run into women that are unfaithful towards their marriage partners,
gays or homosexuals will always find themselves being in places where they meet other gays with the same sexual desires or interests, and the list goes on, and all these different groups of people are drawn together through some thing that is called lust.
Lust is to crave or to desire to possess something or someone for the sake of fulfilling a carnal fleshly passion that derives from the natural habit or custom that resists God's truth and rebels against God's will.
1 John 2:16 says: For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.
2 Peter 1:4 says: by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust
Romans 1:2 says: Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
