I am gifted and talented, but why am I living under a curse?

 

 

 

 

ANSWER:

Your problem my friend, is that you have not separated who you are from the gifts that you possess.

What you are talented in is what you are good at doing in spite of if you believe in God or not, but who you are is the purpose why you are created, for example; some people are so talented that they become so consumed and busy worshipping the works of their talents (gifts) and even forget the purpose of why they were created.

In today's society people who are talented use their talents to promote evil and even get away with it, just because they are popular and good at working in their gifts (film stars promoting pornography and witchcraft, hospital aborting young babies etc…..), that's why the scripture says in Ephesians 2:8; that you are saved by grace (spiritual ability to obey, to honour and to respect God), and not by works lest any man should boast.

It is the gift of God, which means that you should always remember to submit the strength (tithe, honour, obedience and respect) of your gift into God's purpose or will, or else you will be deceived by the works of your talents that you are giving glory to God, yet when you are worshipping your own talents.

It is like being a pastor who is consumed and overwhelmed by the needs of the members of his church (doing everything to please the members of his church, and receiving their offerings) but yet; he himself forgets to honour God with his tithe that comes from his pastoral gift.

Numbers 18:29 says; of all your gifts (talents, skills, professionals, incomes..) you shall offer up every heave offering (tithe or offering) due to the Lord from all the best of them.

When a gift or talent is at work, it's always sustained by the strength, the skills and the intellectual understanding of the one that possesses the gift, but when someone gives the tithe from the income of his gift, then God is obligated to bless (to take care of, to prosper, to open up new doors, to reveal new ideas, to empower with success, to attract favour) for that gift, your tithe from your gift connects the skills of your talents to the divine purpose of why God gave you the gift, your tithe to God is also a spiritual declaration saying that; your skills and talents belongs to God.

The reason why you are talented and cursed is because your gift is just fulfilling your own will and not God's will.

Malachi 3:10 says; bring all the tithes (kingdom tax, honour, respect, strength, obedience) into the storehouse...and try Me now in this, says the Lord of host, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such a blessing (favour, success, inspiration and power to prosper) that their will not be room enough to receive it.
