The greatest idol in life is self
The greatest idol in one's life is defined as; me my self and I,
What I mean is that, people have many idols, some worship there cars, some worship their jobs, some worship money etc…
but after you have dealt with all those idols and you manage to conquer them,
there is yet this one idol that seems to deceive and rule over people's lives and even miscarry their relationship with God,and that is self.
The greatest fear in people's lives is the fear of death, but yet the greatest sacrifice in one's life, is to choose to die for what or who you believe in.
Real godly success in life comes when you have finally learnt how to sacrifice your self (to give all that you are) into a godly relationship, even if it requires you to loose your life or dieing for the sake of that relationship,
but yet it's also self worship (being an idol for your self) that stops people from making that decision.
People always seek to relate to others when they are in need, but after their need is met, they then jump into another relationship, so that they may take care of this other need (a lust full desire that lusts for the outer appearance of things) in their lives.
These are people who go through life being consumers (relating to others so that they may get what they want,) and they never fully come to the understanding that life will gradually die when it stops relating to others through the giving of it's self,
That's why your life exists by this truth and through this truth; that after you have breathed in, you must definitely breath out.
Now, picture this before your eyes; if you were to breath in all the time without breathing out, do you know that the same breath that you breathed in, to give you life will eventually suffocate you and kill you, because you refuse to be a blessing to God's creation.
When we deliberately choose to destroy life through being selfish (self worship, a strong desire to posses things and enjoy life with out the intentions of sharing and giving the things that gives you pleasure) that's when God will also allow everything, and the people that are around you, to react the same way towards you.
If you have men and women of God that have been a blessing to you, please, show your appreciation by becoming a blessing back to them.
If you have relationships that have given into your life, please be a blessing back by appreciating their existence (share and give what you treasure on earth) because that's the ultimate purpose why you exist on this earth.
