The Mezuzah and Passover
By: Apostle Marlene Malachi - Mishkan Ed

When entering a Jewish home, at the right hand of the doorpost stands a Mezuzah.
This command comes from Deut 6:9.
“You shall write them on the Mezuzot (doorposts) of your house and on your
gates.”

One of the scribes asked a question to Yeshua: “Which is the first commandment of
all?” And Yeshua answered: “The first of all the commandments is...”
If I had to ask any believer “What is the answer of Yeshua to the scribe?”
He would answer:
“You shall love the LORD Your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all
your mind, and with all your strength.”
But what did Yeshua really say?
“Hear O Israel YHVH our Elohim , YHVH is One! [Shema Israel]You shall love
YHVH your God with ALL your heart, with ALL your soul, and with ALL your
strength.” Deut 6:4-5; Mark 12: 28-30.

And this is what is written in each and every Mezuzah seen in the doorposts of every
Jewish home!
The word Mezuzot means doorposts. It derives from the word MOVE in Hebrew.
The question is, what is to be ‘MOVED’ from the Jewish/Hebrew homes when one
put this Mezuzah on the doorpost?

“Then Moses called for the elders of Israel and said to them, “Pick out and take lambs
for yourselves according to your families, and kill the Passover lamb. And you shall
take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and
the two doorposts (Mezuzot) with the blood (of the lamb) that is in the basin. And
none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning.

For YHVH will pass through to strike the Egyptians. And when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the doorposts (Mezuzot), YHVH will pass over the door and not allow the DESTROYER to come into your houses to strike you.” Exo 12: 21-23.

The Mezuzah is a sign of the blood put on every doorpost (Mezuzah) of a
Jewish/Hebrew home. The PASS-OVER LAMB’S BLOOD! Yeshua’s blood.
So really the Jewish people are till today, holding to this tradition/law without
knowing, that it is the BLOOD of the real LAMB of God, they are putting on each
and every doorpost of their homes!

So.. again I ask what was to be MOVED from the Hebrew/Jewish homes?
It is written: “by His DEATH, HE might DESTROY him who holds the POWER of
DEATH – that is – and free those who all their lives were HELD in SLAVERY by
their FEAR of DEATH.” Heb 2:14-15.

Yeshua said: “I am the living One ; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and
ever! And I hold THE KEYS OF DEATH and Hades!” Rev 1:18.
So... the BLOOD of the LAMB was to MOVE DEATH itself! And so is the purpose
of the MEZUZAH.

When I came to know Yeshua as Lord and Messiah, I asked the Father to show me
other places in the Bible that speaks proving that Yeshua is Messiah.

He gave me the word “DANIEL”, and as I read the book of Daniel, I found that chapter 7 speaks of One like the Son of Man coming with the clouds of heaven!

He came to the Ancient of Days.. to Him was GIVEN dominion and glory and a kingdom, that ALL peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him..”

I was glad to read it, but then I got a second word at night: “METATRON
Metatron is the One who sits on the throne. The rabbis of old knew what the word
Metatron was all about. I found out - He is the High Priest in Heaven, He is the
Hidden Light, He is the Minister of the Enterior affairs of the Father (Sar Hapnim).
He is Shaddai. His Name is Yeshua.

The One on whom David wrote: “He that KEEPTH Israel, shall neither slumber nor
sleep.” And the rabbis explains, ”He that keepeth THE DOORS of Israel..”
The word ‘SHADDAI’ - SHIN/ DALET/ YUD, which is equivalent in numerical
value, in Hebrew, to Metatron, is written on each one of those Mezuzot.

From an early age, we have learnt to kiss the Mezuzah each time we enter or leave the
house. After having this knowledge, I understand why. YESHUA and His sacrifice
for us – His BLOOD, are on each Mezuzah!

Do you see the connection?
The Mezuzah symbolizes the BLOOD of the LAMB, Yeshua’s BLOOD! By it, Shaddai/Yeshua will not allow the DESTROYER to come near our homes.
